GOTR Practice 5K

Team BLMS 2015

With just two weeks left in the season, we ran our practice 5K. We worked together with the team at BIS and hosted our 5K at Basehor City Park. The afternoon was perfect! The weather was amazing! We had bubbles, streamers, silly string, lap counters, a water station, poster, healthy snacks, and LOTS of sweet, encouraging fans. SUCCESS!

Gwyneth Kay Turner

Introducing our new niece/cousin!

Sweet baby Gwyn was born on Tuesday, April 21st at 4:01am. She weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 18 1/4" long. Talk about a cutie!

Another function...and a dessert date :)

Eric and I attended a fundraising event for Metropolitan Community College. A fun time with great work friends. We even paused to take an elevator selfie. :)

Afterwards, we joined another couple for dessert and coffee at JJ's on the Plaza. Delicious!!!

If you answered YES, I have a book you need to read. I randomly discovered this book while searching amazon for my next kindle purchase. (Shhh...don't tell my husband!) Let me just say, it truly is amazing! I could not put it down, I highlighted a ton of quotes, and I plan to re-read it again more slowly to digest all it had to offer. Definitely touched a lot of mommy nerves. :)

BIS Art Show

One reason (of many!) I love USD#458 Basehor-Linwood is their dedication to keeping ART in the elementary schools. My kids truly enjoy art and I am so proud of their final projects! Jaedin got to display some of her work from this year at the yearly Art Show held at BIS. We enjoyed walking around the school to look at all the creations. So fun to see so many proud artists!
