Big Boy Talin

Mr. Talin (our big boy) officially has his own room in the basement. Eric & I bought him a new bedroom set and got him moved into his new headquarters. Can you say proud? He just beams when he talks about his room or shows it off. We still need to paint & decorate but it seems pretty cool for a 4 year old boy to me! Way to go, bubba!

Remi's Birthday Parties

Yes, I said "parties"...as in plural! It was more like Remingtin's Birthday Week!

Party #1a - Remi celebrated a combo party with Jaedin at Louisburg with Eric's side of the family last weekend.

Party #1b - I would consider going to Barney her first party. She honestly thought it was a party for her!

Party #2 - Sweet Grandma Fern (her babysitter) made yummy cupcakes for all the kids. Remi got to blow out candles after everyone sang to her. She even got a very sweet gift that we love to watch!

(I sadly didn't have my camera at Gma Fern's house so here's Miss Remi on her birthday morning!)

Party #3 - We loaded up the kids and met some friends at Monkey Bizness in Shawnee. The kids had a BLAST playing, jumping, running, sliding & doing art. After many giggles, we headed to Chili's for dinner & dessert. To end the night, we had a couple of friends sleepover. So much fun to wake up and share pancakes with friends!

Party #4 - Thanks to nana for bringing Remi a yummy double-chocolate cake! Remi loved blowing out the candles (twice!). She enjoyed opening all her presents! Remi got to end the night by playing with some special friends & neighbors!

BARNEY!

As most of you know, our little miss Remi is obsessed with Barney. A couple of months ago I received a pre-sale email saying that Barney Live was coming to Topeka...a few days before Remi's 3rd birthday and the show was titled "Barney's Birthday Bash". Sounds too perfect, right? That's what we thought anyway. We decided to get front-row seats as part of her birthday surprise. Little did we know that with those seats we'd get to go back-stage and meet Barney & Riff and get some pictures taken. Needless to say, Remi's dream came true! She was completely lit-up the entire time we were there. I actually had tears in my eyes a couple of times because her eyes were full of pure joy. Priceless. Thank you to Barney for making Remi's 3rd birthday SO special!

1st Grade Feast

The 1st graders at PES put on quite a Thanksgiving Feast for the school today. It was delicious! I was graciously invited by a very special 1st grader this year...

Combo Celebration

We are thankful to have such wonderful families surrounding us. We headed to Louisburg this weekend to enjoy Thanksgiving with Eric's family. Always fun! After a wonderfully delicious meal, each family decorated a wreath for Christmas. Remi was no where to be found during this activity but Talin & Jaedin had a blast being "creative"!

We were also able to celebrate Remingtin's 3rd & Jaedin's 7th Birthday!

Father/Daughter Date

Jaedin went to her very first KU Men's Basketball Game and had a blast! We are trying to support her love of the 'hawks even though it's really hard. I just know she'll end up at KSU...I know it!!!

Our Talin-boy has quite the imagination! Along with a creative vocabulary, he can design just about any game you can imagine. He is always coming up with something that makes us turn our heads & laugh!

Oh & he LOVES to vacuum on Saturday mornings! Double-bonus!!
