Is this a hint...

that a certain little girl wants a room of her own?

Yep, I found Remi making "her bed" in the small guest shower.  She wanted to be alone and rest.  Hmmm.

Happy Earth Day!!!

We almost lost Jaedin in the recycling dumpster this week.  No worries...she is home safe & sound.  She was rescuing our recycling bin after someone (me) accidentally dropped it in the dumpster.  Lucky for Jaedin, it was fairly clean inside.  :)

Please pray...

I went to school with the amazing parents of this precious little girl. Her name is Jayden (you can read about her here or here) but many call her Jaybird. She has been putting up a strong, courageous fight against cancer the last couple of years.  This week her parents received some devastating news...treatment is no longer working.  Please pray for comfort, strength, and time for this family.

Don't forget to cherish every minute you get to spend with those you love...SHOW them and TELL them.  Hugs!

Park Fun

We had a fun surprise at the park...lots of firefighters! Talin couldn't have been happier to see all the trucks, hoses, fire, & friends!

(I should add that this was just practice and not a real fire.)

Like mother, like son...

I spent a good chunk of Sunday afternoon vacuuming out our vehicles.  Apparently, we DO have carpet in both.  :)

Talin wanted to make sure his car was nice and tidy too. He was so excited to use daddy's shop vac.

 It's fun to vacuum up your shirt too!

Sizzler Recycling Contest

To celebrate Earth Day, we have a recycling contest at school.  You can read about Jaedin's project from last year here. 

This year, Jaedin had a new idea.  She wanted to create a water filter...a really BIG one.  Eric and Jaedin had a lot of fun building the water filter. 

Turnerisms...

Me: "Remingtin, you are going to timeout until you can act like a big girl at the dinner table."
Remingtin: (Looking at Eric, Talin & Jaedin) "I'll be baaaccckkk for you!".

Talin: "Why do moles grow in cups? Do you have to take them to the doctor to get them cut out?" (He had mold & moles confused.)

Remingtin: "Daddy, daddy, daddy, dad!!!!"
Eric: "What, Remi?  I'm in the shower."
Remingtin: (Running to the bathroom as fast as she can) "DON'T forget to wash behind your ears!".

Talin: "I think I just saw lightning!".
Jaedin: "Are you sure you didn't just open & shut your eyes?"

Talin at Kindergarten Roundup: "I want a cow.  And a strawberry field.  So I can make my very own strawberry milk!"

Remingtin: "Why did the chicken cross the road?"
Me: "Why?"
Remingtin: "Because he wanted to play with his friends of course!"

Mr. Talin is getting ready for Kindergarten next year and we can't believe it! Where did the time go??!! We are SO proud of him & he is beyond excited for this new adventure.

We are SO ready for warm, Spring weather! We LOVE playing outside after school and on the weekends.
