Our lil Wildcat officially has her 1st (& ONLY) KU t-shirt. Jaedin is attending a Junior Jayhawk Basketball Camp put on by the KU women's basketball team. She is having a ball! Mom & dad aren't sure it was such a good idea to contribute to the university athletic department but it's something Jaedin really wanted to do. We are super proud of her and all that she is learning. We'll roll with the punches on this camp but I may have to commute her back & forth to Manhattan next year!

Day at the lake!

We were able to get an afternoon sitter so we could go enjoy some much needed sunshine at the lake. Matt, Eric's brother, came down from KC with his new wakeboard. My best friend, Nora, was also able to come. We had so much fun just chatting and relaxing. We were a little sunburnt the next day but agreed it was a much needed day for all!

Terri-turtle Days!

Once again we enjoyed the festivities at Lecompton Territorial Days. Friday night we headed over for wristband night; the kids can ride as many rides as they want from 6-10pm if you purchase an $18 wristband. Sounds great...unless you have to buy 3 wristbands. Ouch! The kids had a blast so it was worth it!

Saturday morning we headed back over to Lecompton for the Turtle Races. We had 3 turtles this year. Talin & Remi's turtles weren't really feeling in a racing mood...in fact, they pretty much didn't move or leave their shell. Jaedin's turtle, however, was fast! It was a water turtle and placed 1st in its heat and 2nd overall. She was super excited with the $5, bracelet, and necklace that she won.

Cousin Day in KC

For kindergarten graduation, we got Jaedin & Paige Build-A-Bear giftcards because we know they love to go there. I also thought it would be something fun for them to do together this summer. It was even better than I hoped! My mom & sister were also able to go with us. Jaedin & Paige had a blast at Oak Park Mall, dressed alike with matching purses of course. They shopped forever at Build-A-Bear, rode the carousel, snacked, shopped some more. We headed to Cheddars for lunch and to our surprise Eric was there too. The buddy he was eating lunch with ended up buying us a giftcard to use for our lunch so it was free. We had a wonderful day! It is so much fun to see the girls grow up together!

RUSTI

We would like for you to meet the newest member of our growing family. RUSTI MAE

I know I have said "NO MORE TURNER BABIES!!!" at least 100o times but I just can't say no to animals. We now have Maggie Mae (8 yr old black lab), Kramer (cockatiel), and the newest addition is Rusti Mae (8 wk old chocolate lab) in our growing list of Turner animals. (We also currently have 3 turtles for races this weekend!) I do love animals...that is the good news. Rusti is Eric's new hunting partner and Father's Day present. She is very sweet. She really has only acted like a "puppy" a handful of times so far so we feel lucky. Most of the time she just wants to snuggle or lay beside you and sleep. The kids are ecstatic to have a puppy, something we told them wouldn't happen for awhile. It was a surprise for all of them! We can't wait to watch Rusti grow up in our family.
