April Fools Fun

I LOVE Aprils Fools Day so I was a little disappointed in myself for not having a funny prank ready when the kids got up this morning. It's okay though....I got them pretty good after school. They, in turn, got their daddy when he got home from work. So fun!

Prank #1 -
Tape all the light switches so they won't turn on. Jaedin was definitely perplexed by this one!

Prank #2 -

Remove batteries from the remote. Talin tried and tried to get the TV to turn on! (I hid the batteries.)

Prank #3 -

Offer up a plate of Brownies (Brown E's). Remi didn't think this was very funny as she wasn't feeling well.

Prank #4 -

Hang a "Broken Door" sign to trick husband. Said husband had to walk around house to get inside.

However, every year it goes quicker & quicker. The kids love doing it but they also love the great outdoors on beautiful afternoons.  :)

Little Gymnast

This girl can't go anywhere without doing a cartwheel, handstand or round off. Literally. It's pretty entertaining. Monday is her favorite day of the week...she has gymnastics after school.

Spring Break 2013

Spring Break this year was spent at home...or very close to home. We had a relaxed but FUN time together. A lot of time was spent working on our house. We purged, sorted, donated, and organized a little every day. Of course, we also found time to PLAY!

A newly updated bookshelf! The librarian in me has really wanted to tackle this project for awhile. Jaedin's reading level sky-rocketed on my without any warning. Our book collection needed some major attention to meet her needs. I wish we had an entire room to organize all our books. For now, we will rotate between rooms.

Of course there was lots of silliness in our jammies!

What a cold & wet St. Patrick's Day! The weather didn't stop us though. We headed to the Lawrence parade. Jaedin's softball team had a float and all the kids were very excited to pass out some candy!
