Gingerbread Fun

You might think after 8 years of decorating gingerbread houses, one would get bored. Nope! It's still one of our favorite things to do as a family during the holiday season.

We started the evening by checking out a holiday light show in Topeka called Winter Wonderland. The kids LOVED it!

After dinner, we headed back home to decorate the house.
Believe it or not, Miss Remi was quite sick with a tummy bug. She hung on like a trooper though so she wouldn't miss out on the fun.

This year, Eric's mom, Cindy, was with us to join in on the fun. The kids could not have been more excited to have her with us.

Winter Parties

Remi's PreK party was the first Winter Party of the day.

They decorated cookies of various shapes.

Doesn't hers look delicious?!?

They also got treat bags and an overloaded plate full of sweet treats!

Next up was Jaedin's 3rd grade Winter Party.

They made a snowman craft out of candy canes, marshmallows & frosting

Ta da - super cute! This was just one edible treat along with a table full of more.

Jaedin also wrote a book called Snow Day. It's so good!

Talin's 1st grade Winter Party was the last of the day.

Such a cutie! My healthy boy wanted nothing to do with the treats at his party.

They had a boy/girl sock exchange for entertainment.

Adorable reindeer socks!

Always Believe

I can't even begin to put into words what my heart has felt these last few days as a mother, teacher, colleague, wife, daughter and friend. Always believe. Always hug. Always say I love you. Always cherish the moments.
