Franny the Frog

Each weekend a student in Jaedin's kindergarten class gets to take Franny the Frog home. We had lots of fun with our green visitor, documenting all our adventures. Franny even got to help us make our holiday sugar cookies, travel to Paxico, and go to Jaedin's basketball practice. I'm sure Franny was as tired as we were when the visit was over!

One of the perks of being an educator is that beloved 5:45am phone call that says there is NO SCHOOL for the day because of snow & winter conditions. Lucky for us, it happened two days in a row! We have had a lot of fun hanging out at home, playing in the snow and and just being silly. We were also lucky to have cousin Paige join us. Here's just some of our fun...

Combo Birthday with Family

Jaedin & Remi's birthdays are only 5 days apart and typically fall very close to Thanksgiving. We have had a combo birthday party with Eric's family each year and the girls really enjoy the opportunity to celebrate with their cousins! Happy Birthday to the Turner Girls!

Disney On Ice

Last year, Remingtin celebrated her 1st birthday on Thanksgiving Day. This year, her birthday fell on Black Friday. We decided a great way to celebrate her birthday would be to take the whole family to Disney on Ice in Topeka. We were lucky enough to order our tickets through a presale and got 2nd row seats! Perfect for the kiddos! They all loved the show...and I think it's safe to say that mom & dad had a great time too! After the ice show, we went to nana & papa's house for ice cream cake & presents. If you ask Remi about her birthday, she says it was her "Two Barney Birthday Party" and that Mickey, Nemo, and the princesses were all there.
