July FUN!

We met my friend, Susan, and her son at Cupcake Construction in Lawrence for some dessert fun.  It was so great to catch up with a teacher-friend from my days at Riverview Elementary and the kids enjoyed the sugar high!

For each cupcake designed you get to pick the flavor of cupcake, filling, & frosting.  After that, you get to choose from a variety of yummy cupcake toppings.  Yum-o!

Eric's brother, Matt, and his fiance, Sara, came to visit so we thought we'd head out on the boat for some fun in the sun.  Fun was definitely had by all!

Family Fun with the T-Bones

We took the kids to watch the Kansas City T-Bones play and scored some great seats!

It turned out to be a great evening for baseball...there was a nice breeze that kept us cool all evening.

We had a table to sit at during the game.  Of course, no game is complete without snacks & drinks!

Remi fell in love with Sizzle and I'm not exaggerating.  Hilarious! She even invited him to come home with us.  New birthday request...her very own Sizzle.

Glow Run

I ran the Glow Run 5K in Kansas City and beat my personal record!  My chip time was 25:24 and I finished 19th out of 712 women in my age category.  There were 4831 people who ran the Glow Run and I came in 281st.  I was pretty hyped to say the least!  Pretty sure it'll never happen again. :)  Eric and Jaedin came to cheer me on...not sure if it was having them there that sped me up or my empty stomach!

We've filled our summer with a lot of fun activities but probably the thing we have enjoyed the most is our trips to the library. 

We go there A LOT!

(Side note...Talin looks like he is in pain in his photo above because HE IS.  He had 3 loose teeth and didn't realize it! Needless to say, that was his only bite off the cob.)

Work with DAD

Eric's company, McCownGordon Construction, celebrated Bring Your Child to Work Day on July 20th.  Both Jaedin & Talin got to go enjoy the fun and activities this year!
