Gingerbread Adventure 2010

This was our 6th year for decorating a Gingerbread House. This year, the kids helped pick out the Gingerbread kit (which included Santa, his sleigh, & some reindeer) and the extra candy.

This might be my favorite holiday tradition. As you can see from the pictures and last year's post...this is Eric's activity with the kids. I LOVE to sit back, take photos, and watch the magic happen. There is laughter...there is tears...but there are SO many memories being made.

Santa + Trains = Tradition

We made our annual stop in Olathe to visit Santa and see the train display. We were the last family in line before his scheduled dinner break. Lucky us! Santa spent probably 15 minutes talking with our darlings and sharing Christmas memories & beliefs. It was awesome!

We then headed over to the amazing train display where the kids watched and watched the trains without saying a word. Huge eyes & big smiles! (& yummy suckers thanks to Santa!)

Christmas at Louisburg

We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas with Eric's family in Louisburg the weekend before Christmas. The kids were spoiled! The adults had a great time stealing presents from one another. And the food was delicious, of course!

Winter Program

Jaedin had her 1st Grade Winter Program...and even had a speaking part! The program was adorable & the singing and dancing was priceless!
