SLEEP

Some of you know that pictures of sleeping kiddos is one of my favorite things. We headed to bed to find Remi passed out with the phone right beside her bed. We chuckled...thinking this would be a sight we'd see when she was a teenager. Might be time to hide the phones already!

This sparked me to snap a quick picture of all our sleeping kiddos. So CUTE!

Talin's Firefighter Birthday Party

Talin celebrated his 4th birthday...firefighter style! He invited family & friends to help him celebrate. We had cake, a pinata, presents & a real firetruck. The kiddos were so surprise when Firefighter Pat pulled into the driveway with lights & sirens. Such excitement! Talin told us numerous times that this was the BEST day EVER! I have a feeling Talin will remember this birthday forever. (He has already said he wants his next birthday to be a Police party!)

Talin's Pre-Birthday Fun

Talin got to spend an extra-special day in Kansas City the day before his 4th birthday. He first got dismissed from the ENT doctor with perfect ears & perfect hearing. Yeah!!! Then, he headed to Build-A-Bear and created his first puppy dog that he named Joey Dog Turner and dressed him up as a firefighter. (Surprised??) For lunch, we picked up daddy from work and headed to Fritz's and had our food delivered by a train. Talk about exciting for an almost 4 year old! The best was saved for last though...when we took daddy back to work at his John Deere job site there was a personalized hard hat waiting for Talin and he got to check out the equipment. He even got to get inside the loader! Guess who's still wearing that hard hat???

Swim Camp 2010

Jaedin decided to try a different type of swimming lessons this year so we enrolled her in Swim Camp through Lawrence Parks & Rec. She LOVED it! She attended each day for a week from 8-12 and learned so much. She got to do crafts, free swim time, snacks, games, and most important...get some swimming lessons. Talin is very excited to join her at camp next summer!

Arkansas!

We traveled to Fayetteville, AR to visit Eric's mom and have a little family getaway. Boy, did we have fun! We left KC Thursday evening after Eric got off work and drove back home on Sunday. The kids were typical kids in the car...but once suckers were passed out and a movie started they were distracted enough to make it. :-) Eric & I even went to to the movies twice...once to see our first grown-up movie in a theater in years and also to take Jaedin & Talin to see Toy Story 3 in 3D. Most importantly, we made a lot of wonderful memories!

We visited a really fun water park in Springdale.


We had dinner & played games...




We had a blast at the Family Fun Center!








We also enjoyed just relaxing at Grandma Cindy's house!
